Preparation

  • Clear the site and eliminate all weeds and existing grass
  • Rough grade the entire area, eliminating severe slopes and any low lying areas
  • Ensure proper drainage by sloping away from buildings
  • Till area to a 2 inch depth – helps control annual weeds and soil compaction
  • Add 4-6 inches of good quality, weed free top soil
  • Add Tuff Turf Soil Enhancer to ensure best rooting conditions
  • Roll the area with a lawn roller that is half full of water to firm and settle the area
  • Finish raking area if necessary

Allow 1 inch depth along sidewalks and driveways so turf will lay flush. Light watering can help settle soil and expose low areas
