Installation

Schedule your turf delivery AFTER your soil and site is prepared and ready. Prompt installation the SAME DAY is crucial.

During hot weather, lightly water the area to cool and moisten it prior to installation
Locate the longest, straightest line for the 1st row (eg: sidewalk, driveway) or run a string to establish a straight line
Butt all joints tightly together – avoid overlapping turf or leaving gaps between pieces
Stagger rows in a brick-like fashion

Use a large, sharp serrated knife for edging and corners (available at Tuff Turf)
If possible, avoid small strips on outer edges as they tend to dry out quicker
On large, steep slopes, run turf pieces across the slope, rather than up and down – staking turf may also be necessary
Roll turf with lawn roller in two different directions to remove air pockets and improve turf-soil contact
